About Scarpettajunkie

My name is Scarpettajunkie.  I love the Kay Scarpetta character by Patricia Cornwell and have read all of that series.  I am a 36-year-old female.  I am the mom to an autistic 10-year-old.  I have an associate’s degree but stay at home.  I have been married since July 1995….so that is 13 years Holy Cow!  That went fast.

I love love love to read.  This blog will be about how much I love to read.  I will keep you posted on what is on board, what is coming up, and of course reviews.

I want to say that I am interested in any advanced reader copies that come my way.  My very first ARC is The Physick Book of Deliverance Dane.  I am loving reading it with the Barnes and Noble group.   I have a site at Book Blogs where I am Deirdra Van Duzer.  Also, my blog here:  http://scarpettajunkiesblog.myblogsite.com.  I am on LibraryThing as Scarpettajunkie and have reviewed over 30 books since January.  E-mail me here:  vanduzer1@yahoo.com.

What else?  My German Shepard Collie mix died about a month ago.  He was about 91 in dog years.  He could sit, stay, lie down, shake paws, speak, and retrieve his squeaker toy.  He was cremated.  We don’t know what to do with him so he sits on my book cabinet.

I love African lions because I am a Leo.  I love the sun.  I love rubies and any flower that is on the bush.  It is a shame to cut roses as they only last a week with much fussing.  So, I don’t like to get roses.  A rose bush, yes, but no cut roses PLEASE!  Other wildflowers or tulips, hyacinths, etc. are okay for my vases.

Mainly, I just love to read so this will be my place to let my bookishness hang out.
